The Virginia law enforcement authorities are on the hunt for an individual, regarded as armed and potentially dangerous, following a shooting that resulted in the death of a woman and the injury of two police officers.
The officers were responding to a domestic assault call in an apartment complex when they were fired upon. A woman, discovered with gunshot wounds at the scene, was rushed to a nearby hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. The officers, who sustained non-lethal injuries, are receiving medical care.
The shootings occurred on Wednesday night, around 10:30 p.m., in the 500 block of Willow Bridge Court. Officers from the Chesapeake Police Department were dispatched following a domestic assault report. Upon arrival, they heard a woman’s cries for help from inside the residence.
As they attempted to enter the residence to assist, they were met with gunfire through the door. Both officers were struck.

The injuries the two officers suffered on the scene are believed to be non-life-threatening, and they were taken to the hospital for treatment.
The individual sought for questioning in connection with this incident is 39-year-old Shaun M. Boker. While the identity of the deceased woman is yet to be disclosed, authorities have emphasized that Boker is considered armed and dangerous.
This is still an active investigation, and law enforcement has confirmed that additional updates will be shared as they become available. This raises important questions about the circumstances surrounding the incident and the safety measures in place for responding officers.
As this investigation unfolds, we’re reminded of the importance of staying informed and vigilant.
