The mother of Baltimore Ravens defensive end Calais Campbell was discovered dead in her Atlanta home Tuesday afternoon, and authorities have charged the football player’s brother with murder in connection with her death.
The Atlanta Police Department responded to a welfare check call at the residence on Tuesday. Upon arrival, officers encountered a man barricaded inside the home who was immediately detained. During a subsequent search of the premises, investigators found an elderly woman unresponsive inside the house. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
