Reports from Union County, North Carolina, indicate that a landscaper has been arrested for allegedly hosting an unauthorized party at a client’s residence.

Michael Brown, a 37-year-old lawn maintenance worker, is accused of organizing a large gathering at a home where he had previously been employed for gardening services. According to the Union County Sheriff’s Office, Mr. Brown allegedly invited hundreds of individuals to the property while the homeowners were absent on vacation.

Law enforcement was alerted to the situation following numerous noise complaints and reports of traffic hazards in the area. Upon arrival, deputies encountered what they describe as a “vast crowd” at the residence. Mr. Brown, when questioned, reportedly made conflicting claims about his relationship to the property before admitting he was simply “the lawn guy.”

Mr. Brown faces accusations of breaking & entering, trespassing, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, property damage, and obtaining money under pretenses. Officials allege that he charged an entry fee to partygoers, which he then kept for himself.

This incident raises important questions about trust and responsibility in service-based relationships. The homeowners, who have not been identified, were reportedly away on vacation when these events transpired.

Mr. Brown, for his part, disputes the charges. In a statement, he claimed the gathering was a graduation celebration for his son and friends. He expressed confidence that his professional relationship with the homeowners would continue.

As of now, Mr. Brown has been released on a $10,000 bond. The full extent of any property damage and the legal ramifications remain to be determined.
